Sound & Scent - Gong Bathing in a Geo Dome at Keyneston Mill Botanic Gardens 14th June, 2nd July & 6th August
Come and join Scania in a Geo Dome for one of the special Gong Baths in the beautiful Keyneston Mill Botanic Gardens.
Located near Blandford, Keyneston Mill is the creative and experimental home of Parterre Fragrances. Here they grow, harvest and distil the key ingredients for their luxury perfumes. The estate and gardens are dedicated solely to aromatic and scented plants.
The Gong Bath will take place in their Geo Dome, or outside if the weather is very warm. Before we settle, we will explore the wonderfully fragrant gardens.
The Padua Garden focuses on the Floral family of fragrances, and the design is based on the Orto Botanico, the oldest university garden in the world, founded in 1545 in Italy. Many of the flowers in this garden have scented petals eg. roses, jasmine, sweet peas, and lilies. The scent of some other plants may not be apparent until you rub their leaves. The Fern Garden includes some of the plants traditionally used in more green, masculine fragrances including lavender, rosemary, clary sage, and mint as well as ferns. Other areas include spicy, citrus and aromatic plant varieties. We will be enjoying the natural scents and connecting to those which enhance our sense of wellbeing, in readiness for the Gong Bath experience.
THE GONG BATH
Inspired by our walk, we will then choose from a selection of essential oils and lie down with our own small capsule of distilled oil drops. We are now ready to be bathed in sound waves, the vibrational essence of the gongs combining with the scent and allowing us to drift into a deeply relaxed state.
Scania will play the gongs for around 45-50mins and end with some softer sounds. These sounds drift into silence. After about 5 mins you are invited to come around in your own time, no need to rush or hurry. We will then retrace our steps through the garden.
