Relax and unwind.
The Gong is one of man’s most powerful and oldest transformational and therapeutic instruments. It has been used for ritual, ceremony, prayer, and meditation since the Bronze Age. Its sound is relaxing and calming, centering and energising, transforming and healing. Gongs have been used in yoga, sound meditation, and vibrational therapy from the distant past to present.
Arrive at the venue and allow yourself time to settle. Bring something comfy to lay on, pillow, blanket and water. A brief explanation of what will happen in the hour will take place.
THE GONG BATH
Scania will play the gongs for around 45-50mins and end with some softer sounds. These sounds drift into silence. The Gong is struck to signify the end of the session.
Allowing the silence to wash over you. Then after about 5 mins you are invited to come around in your own time, no need to rush or hurry.
It’s always a good idea to drink water after the session. Allow time to check in how you are feeling and allowing yourself time to integrate the session and what it has meant to you. Dreams can be interesting after a Gong Bath!
Tuckton Community Centre: Tuckton Social Club 222 Tuckton Rd, Bournemouth BH6 3AA There is parking around the back, just wait for the barrier to lift. Otherwise side streets are all free to park in.
