Autumn equinox is upon us and this is a time to celebrate. This autumn equinox has brought us to the point of yet another change so join me in harvesting happiness and harnessing the powerful energy of this day. We will be in the beautiful cathedral of trees in the wooded area.
Autumn is a time to honour the blessings and celebrate the harvest. Our ancestors used to celebrate the harvest festival of Mabon with their own rituals. They also knew it as a time to give thanks and express gratitude. It’s a time to bring balance and harmony into our lives. This year has been a very strange and insular time for us, where everyone is separated and our social aspect curbed. Join Scania at Gaunts House using the power of fire, a wooded area at Gaunts House (beautiful spot), Gongs and hammocks. We will delve into connection, rest time, fire time, sound time and anything else time. This will be deeply connecting, powerful and allowing.
As the sun begins to sink lower in the sky....
The word “equinox” comes from Latin and means “equal night,” referring to the roughly 12-hour day and 12-hour night that occurs only on the two equinox days of the year.
The Autumn Equinox is a meaningful time of year to honour the harvest. Whether that be a "real" harvest of the things planted in your garden or the harvest of efforts and intentions for your life path that you set earlier in the year.
The changing seasons are key points in the cycle of life in nature, and within this cycle many ancient cultures perceived a powerful deeper message for humanity. During this last 18 months I have noticed my deeper connection to the cycles and my intense scrabbling to link back to the wild soul in me.
Indigenous cultures recognised earth-based wisdom and understood that the four focal points of the year: the Winter Solstice, Spring Equinox, Summer Solstice, and Autumn Equinox; illuminated stages of an inner spiritual journey – a spiritual cycle that the individual takes within themselves.
I feel that my conscious connection to nature's cycles, begins a greater understanding of my own cycle and this is a time to honour that.
In the sessions we will set up internal and external space to make room for what’s to come in the next year. We will look at our greater visions, allowing sound and silence to take and shape. Being Gentle. By clearing the internal ground in the fall, we create a space for the winter months of creativity and hibernation. Making space allows us to listen curiously to what is being whispered within our being.
Arriving into the space: taking time to get comfortable and finding the hammock for you.
Composting our old ideas and using the energy they hold to make new and fertile soil for creativity
Gong Bath in the trees
We will have the cauldron to throw any intentions, wishes into and allow the smoke to mingle with the sky.
I do hope you will join at Gaunts House to celebrate your life growth and light within and the ancient wisdom that has served our health and wellness for thousands of years. Rain or shine this event will go ahead we will have a wet weather plan in place. We will be using hammocks and tents if needed
this event is non refundable you are more than welcome to pass your tickets on to someone else or gift them to someone who cannot afford to come.
