Many people think that there is no common point of reference between music and arts, but doing numerous sessions of playing the gong while artists draw and paint tell me otherwise.

In this environment the sounds of the gong and art take place jointly and affect the creative process. Environmental factors like colours and light changes, smell and sound trigger us into different feelings and emotions. Playing the gong allows different triggers and sensations, resulting in a different way of accessing the right brain and a different way to your normal creating process.

This work shop is for people who are looking for an experiential way of working, you don’t have to be an artist but open to creativity. You may want to knit, write, crochet, paint or draw! No experience is necessary, you bring what you need to create with you.

What you need: your own drawing and painting related material. Something comfortable to lay on (blanket and pillow) if you wish to lay down during a 15 minute meditative phase at the beginning.

Tutor: Scania Price

Scania is the custodian of a collection of gongs and feels complete when tuning into the energies of these powerful frequencies. Scania invites you on a journey with the Gongs. The Gongs will be played in many different ways and for various purposes and intentions during the hour. There will be different builds and release cycles that can release and relax. Due to Scania’s intuitive ability, each session will be different. During the session the body and mind are in a vastly altered and receptive state of consciousness. For most people this is a profound and deeply moving experience. No effort required... lay back and relax
